You are warmly invited to the launch of our new book, Economy Studies: A Guide to Rethinking Economics Education. This is a toolkit for the (re-)design of economics courses and curricula, emerging from the worldwide movement to modernize economics education. This time, we provide not a critique of existing programs, nor a grand take-it-or-leave-it curriculum proposal, but rather a structured toolkit of fresh ideas and materials.
At the book launch Martin Wolf (chief economics commentator FT) and William Hynes (Senior Advisor and Head of NAEC at the OECD) will give a (zoom) talk, dean Erik Stam will discuss developments in the UU economics bachelor, and we (the authors) will present the book, including a Q&A session.
